Your language is missing
If a movie or episode doesn't offer the subtitle language you want, the addon bridges that gap instead of ending the session.
Subtitle Translator V3 is a fallback layer for Stremio and NuvioTV. It finds the strongest subtitle candidates, prioritizes versions with better sync signals, and translates them into the language you actually want to read.
The addon becomes valuable in the messy real case: the right subtitle language is missing, but a usable source subtitle still exists somewhere.
Collects subtitle candidates from OpenSubtitles and optional extra providers.
Pushes stronger matches forward based on sync clues, release names, quality and popularity.
Uses OpenRouter models to convert subtitle blocks into the target language.
Keeps translated results ready so repeated requests return faster.
Good fallback beats no subtitle. This addon gives Stremio and NuvioTV users a clear path to continue watching instead of giving up on the content.
This addon is for the practical case, not the ideal case. It doesn't replace subtitle ecosystems. It gives you a usable fallback when the target language is absent but a good enough source subtitle still exists.
If a movie or episode doesn't offer the subtitle language you want, the addon bridges that gap instead of ending the session.
Multiple candidates appear because one may translate well but another tracks the release timing better.
Covers Portuguese variants, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and more.
The goal isn't novelty. The goal is to keep playback useful when direct subtitle availability fails.
The configuration page generates a personal manifest URL, and that URL is what Stremio or NuvioTV installs.
Choose the target language and provide a valid OpenSubtitles API key. Everything else improves control and reliability.
Use /configure to generate your installation link.
Go to /configure and choose the target language, subtitle source fallbacks, and whether AI translation should be enabled.
After saving, the setup returns a unique manifest URL and builds the stremio:// install link for you.
Open the generated link or paste the manifest URL into Stremio or NuvioTV. Translated subtitle options will appear for supported content.
These are the fields exposed in the configuration form and what they change in addon behavior.
Selects the language the translated subtitle should be delivered in.
The main subtitle source now works without credentials. The addon searches and downloads from OpenSubtitles v3 first.
If you want the official API as a backup source, you must provide API key, username, and password together.
AI translation uses paid OpenRouter models. Your own valid key is recommended whenever AI translation is enabled.
Choose a paid preset ordered by recent subtitle benchmark results, or provide a custom paid model slug.
Adds another subtitle source for better survival during provider gaps or temporary limits.
Stores your choices under a personal token and generates the manifest URL Stremio / NuvioTV installs.
These are product-level realities. Keeping them visible reduces confusion when a translation cannot be generated.
If no provider returns a downloadable file, there's nothing to translate. Translation starts from a real source.
The addon currently targets paid OpenRouter models only. Translation quality and latency depend on the selected paid model and provider availability.
Multiple options may exist because the subtitle that reads best isn't always the one that synchronizes best.
Badly timed, incomplete or already machine-translated sources degrade the final result regardless of model, even with the stronger fallback pipeline.
This project needs recurring support to keep infrastructure alive, improve subtitle ranking, and prevent the translation workflow from becoming abandonware.
